Bethesda Workshops
Marnie C. Ferree is a licensed marriage and family therapist in Nashville, Tennessee, where she is the founder and director of Bethesda Workshops, a faith-based clinical intensive workshop program for sex addicts, their partners, couples, and teens affected by sexual addiction. The workshop program she established in 1997 for female sex addicts was the first of its kind in the country. In 2018, Bethesda Workshops began offering a workshop for teen girls who are acting out sexually, which is another first.
Marnie’s book No Stones: Women Redeemed from Sexual Addiction was the first to address sexual addiction in women from a Christian perspective. She is also the volume editor and contributing author of Making Advances - A Comprehensive Guide for Treating Female Sex and Love Addicts, which is the first clinical book on this topic. Marnie is the author of a workbook for female sex addicts, clinical articles in peer-reviewed journals, and numerous inspirational articles.
She is a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT) through the International Institute of Trauma and Addiction Professionals, and she served for over a dozen years on the editorial board of the Sex Addiction & Compulsivity Journal. Marnie is a frequent speaker at professional and recovery conferences, churches and schools and has been featured on Dateline and in other media.
