Jessica Harris is an author, international speaker, and creator of beggarsdaughter.com. She was exposed to pornography at the age of 13 and, for years, struggled in silence and shame because “women just don’t have this problem.” After finding freedom, she started her blog in 2009, in the hopes of changing that conversation and helping women find freedom from a struggle no one believed they could have. She is passionate about having open and honest conversations about sex and sexual struggles because she believes if we're silent about the struggle, we’re silent about grace.
She's one of the leading voices in the conversation about the sexual struggles of women in the church and how we can meet those struggles with grace. In addition to her personal blog, she's written for many organizations including CRU (campus crusade for Christ), Focus on the Family, and the Lies Young Women Believe blog. Her story has been featured on the 700 Club and she served on CBN’s Unhooked 2020 panel. She has self-published two books including Beggar’s Daughter, a memoir sharing her story of struggle and how she found freedom.
She married her husband at the age of 32 and now spends her days caring for their baby girl and working on her next book, a study on God’s heart for women who struggle.
